Reminder: Keep pressing on!

Before I head out from work, I wanted to quickly share these words with you:

KEEP PRESSING ON!!

These last several weeks have been HARD but I finally had a breakthrough yesterday. It’s awesome to have someone in your corner that will not be afraid to intercede (also known as intervene on behalf of another) and pray for you when you don’t even have the strength to do so. Of course, you want to always turn to God as we are instructed to in 1 Peter 5:7. It tells us to give all our worries and cares to God, for He cares about us. But it’s a beautiful thing when you have individuals that will encourage you and lift you up as you are going THROUGH it. Sometimes you need a reminder that you ARE VICTORIOUS and although weapons will be formed, they SHALL NOT PROSPER!

The calling that God has on our lives are far greater than what we could ever fathom and knowing this simple fact the enemy will not allow you to walk into your purpose or walk your purpose out without attacking you from all different angles especially your mind. I’ll admit, I’ve let the enemy bring me down to the point that I was ready to throw in the towel and call it a wrap on Tuesday.

(Backstory) I’ve always had a passion for writing. But in 2015 God began to show me that I would be writing a book. I kept brushing it off. On December 26, 2015, I read a devotional that spoke so clearly to my situation and what I needed to do and then the very next day I went to church and the pastor preached on a powerful message and I believe God allowed me to be there on that day for me to hear that message because He knew I had been doubting Him because I didn’t find myself to be qualified and to be honest I still don’t. We can be hard headed most times but God will continue to confirm things to you like He did with Bishop Searight at Abundant Life Church on that day when he said, “Write that book”.

Since then I’ve been writing and posting on social media and made myself believe that’s what he meant but He’s been revealing more and more to me and there is no way I can deny the call any longer. I remember sitting on my kitchen table and hearing God say to me, “Who do you think you are to believe I’m not capable of giving this vision to someone else who will be obedient enough to do what I’ve called them to do”? I know it sounds crazy but I know it was God and not just a thought that crossed my mind. But that’s all it took for me to stop playing games and I started to become intentional about this book but the journey has not been an easy one.

It wasn’t until I opened up to one of my sisters in Christ this week (as I’ve done before to a chosen few – her included) and asked if she would pray for me and she did. But before I got to listen to her message, I turned to Hebrews 12:1-13 and it comforted me in such a profound way and then listening to her message encouraged me that much more.

There are so many more revelations and confirmations that I received from God and I’d love to share them all but the point of my post is to encourage you to continue to press on no matter how hard it gets. The enemy knows that you are a force to be reckoned with and he will do whatever it takes to keep you from fulfilling your God given purpose but we must continue keep going and not give up.

We are WARRIORS and we are VICTORIOUS in Christ Jesus.

Keep going. God got us, ya’ll!!

Blessings!

I love your honesty. It makes me feel safe enough to remove my armor so that your words can do what they were intended too. To Heal!
