Heart to Heart 💞

The other day, I had the only conversation with God while I was driving back home from work. I turned off my radio, made sure my phone was on silent and just started to pour my heart out. I hadn’t done it in a long time so it felt a bit weird at first. I mean, I knew He would hear me but I was beginning to allow my mind to play tricks on me until I said, “Ok, stop it Jen! Just do it”. For a long time God has been tugging on my heart about taking my blog serious. I created it 7 months ago & just recently started to become intentional about working on it. I started off by thanking Him for planting this desire in my heart & mind to help encourage the body of Christ & those who have yet to open up their hearts to Jesus. I had allowed my negative self-talk take over & I didn’t know if the blog would even be anything anyone would be interested in so I was asking him for clarity, peace of mind & for Him to take over.

Then suddenly I felt Him telling me – “Fear not. I got you. You don’t have to worry about how or what you’ll be sharing. I will give you peace & will plant ideas in your mind & heart about the things I’d like for you to do with your blog. It’s to bring Me glory, not self. When you start to worry about what other people might or might not say about you, things don’t flow but when you look to Me … everything will flow naturally. No effort needed on your part.”

Basically, He went IN! lol

I’m only one person & I’m aware that not everyone will be able to relate to my story & the things I will be sharing on this blog – and that’s truly ok. But it’s so important that we can relate to others who can understand what we’ve been through or the challenges we’re currently facing by sharing what God has done or is currently doing in our lives. No matter how big or small. So, I’ve decided to share different testimonies from different people that can encourage us all.

If you wish to share yours, please feel free to email me at journeyswithinblog@gmail.com – I will be sure to post & title it Heart to Heart. You can decide whether you would like to be acknowledged or be anonymous. May He receive ALL of the glory & honor. He is WORTHY to be praised!

Until next time, many blessings & much love. – XO
