OK – Let me start off by saying, I am a HUGGER. So, bring it in 🤗 (come on, don’t be shy) and please receive this virtual squeeze of love. 💓 My name is Jennifer Jaquez (80’s baby). Born and raised in NJ. I’m married to my best friend who I’ve known since the age of 16. We have 2 precious boys – they’re truly the most awesome people in our world! 🌎 

Why Journeys Within?

I decided to start this blog (in 2016) to remind me of God’s grace and sovereignty as I journey through life and learn to be rooted in His truth while flourishing in His grace. I was bullied and was extremely shy in grade school. It was then when I discovered my passion for reading and my ability to express myself so much better on paper. I believe we all have a story to tell and only YOU can tell YOUR story. In sharing your heart and your story, you can encourage someone and not even know it. We’re all unique but we can agree to have been down similar paths. Life can hit us hard sometimes (like REAL hard) but knowing that we’re not alone makes it a little easier to roll with the punches. I believe we all have a purpose in life and there’s also purpose in everything we go through. 

“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” – Romans 8:28

My walk with the Lord began in 2010 but I believe He’s been walking with me way before I even acknowledged Him. It’s definitely been a journey but I’m learning to embrace the good and the hard times as I become a better version of myself with every challenge I’m faced with and leaning on His Word to strengthen, comfort, mature me and check me when need be. If any of my posts can be of any help to you – to God be the Glory!! 🙌🏼

Disclaimer: I am in no way, shape or form a perfect follower of Jesus Christ but rather a disciple of Jesus. I am a sinner who loves the Lord but not nearly as much as He loves you and me. I am beyond grateful & humbled to tell you of God’s never-ending grace, His everlasting mercy & relentless love. My hope in sharing my thoughts, perspectives & experiences on this blog is to help you look within & recognize that you are not alone & that we do not need to figure this thing called “life” on our own. We have an amazing God who is gracious, merciful & available to help us on this journey & Who meets us exactly where we are EVERY TIME. I pray that the Lord Jesus Christ would reveal Himself to you by the power of the Holy Spirit & that you would get to experience Him for yourself & be forever changed. God created each of us with a longing for intimacy — an intimacy with Him & only He could fill that void. I thank God that He continues to pursue us. There is no sin from our past, present & future that could ever stop God from loving us. He is who He is & we are who He says we are. We can come to Him just as we are & He will make us brand new (2 Corinthians 5:17).

My prayer is that you would turn to the One, Jesus Christ, who is waiting with open arms as you open up the door of your heart & receive Him as your Lord & Savior. He is the One who sacrificed (John 3:16) His life for us all so that we would receive the FREE gift of salvation (Ephesians 2:8) and spend eternity basking in His Magnificence, His glory. 💕🌻
