Jesus is my passion – Love is my calling – Fulfilling God’s will is my purpose.
I’m humbled to be able to share a little of my heart with you. My name is Jennifer Jaquez. I’m married to my best friend who I’ve known for over 17 yrs. We have 2 precious boys – they’re truly the most awesome little people in the JENiverse! 🌍
Why Journeys Within?
I decided to start this blog to remind myself of God’s endless grace in my life and share my thoughts on different things that I’d want to look back on someday. I thought, why not share it with others who could possibly relate and/or be blessed by it. I believe we all have a story to tell.
We’re all unique in our own special way and we can agree to have been down similar paths: pain, joy, heartbreak, happiness, hardship, breakthrough, and the list goes on. Life can hit us hard sometimes but knowing that we’re not alone makes it a little easier to roll with the punches. I believe we all have a purpose in life as human beings. There’s also purpose in everything we go through in life and I’m always comforted anytime I turn to the Word of God.
“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” – Romans 8:28
Listening to music, reading and writing are just a few of the many things I enjoy doing. I find them to be very therapeutic and where I find peace. In doing so, it helps me gain a new perspective on life, my circumstances, the things I’ve been through, the different seasons I have found myself in or currently finding myself in and the ones to come. It hasn’t always been a walk in the park as it may appear in the pic below this post. Some days have been harder than others. I have hit several rock bottoms in my lifetime but I’ve learned to embrace the journey with the understanding that I’m learning something new each day and becoming a better version of myself with every challenge I’m faced with. If any of my posts can be of any help to you – to God be the glory! 🙌
I will share my experiences, thoughts, real life issues, the many different resources (books, YouTube videos, blogs, devotions, songs and etc) that have encouraged me along the way – and whatever else the Lord leads me to share but most importantly the love of Christ and His endless grace in the hope to encourage others.
“We’re all broken, struggling people in need of His grace. Let His purpose for your life fall over you today, experience His freedom, know His joy, and your life will never be the same.”
I’d love to connect with you (yes, YOU!) and learn about the different journeys you’ve experienced or may currently be on. If you wish to share, you’re more than welcome to comment or email. You can also follow me on Instagram: @journeyswithin Facebook: Jennifer Jaquez
Disclaimer: I am in no way, shape or form a perfect follower of Jesus Christ nor a relationship expert. I am a sinner who loves Jesus but not nearly as much as He loves you and me. However, I’ve learned a whole lot (and I’m still learning) from the MANY poor choices and WRONG turns I’ve made throughout my life and if I could help in anyway by sharing my journey with you, I will. I am beyond grateful and humbled to tell you of God’s never ending grace, His ever lasting mercy and relentless love.
My hope in sharing my thoughts, perspective and experiences on this blog is to help you look within and recognize that you are not alone and that we do not need to figure this thing called “life” on our own. We have an amazing God who is gracious, merciful and available to help us on this journey if only we are willing to turn to Him in full surrender and allow Him to lead the way. For a long time I believed my way was the “right” way but no matter what or who I turned to, the void I felt in my heart, mind and soul remained empty and unfulfilled. God created each of us with a longing for intimacy — intimacy with Him and only He could fill that void. I thank God that He never stopped pursuing me and He has not stopped pursuing you. There is no sin from our past, present and future that could ever stop God from loving us but shame, guilt and pride will have us doubt God’s character, His love and His forgiveness.
But I am here to remind you that His grace is sufficient and His strength is made PERFECT in our weaknesses meaning when we are weak, He is STRONG and MIGHTY to do the “impossible”. We can come to Him just as we are and He will make us brand new (2 Corinthians 5:17).
My prayer is that you would turn to the One, Jesus Christ, who is waiting with open arms as you open up the door of your heart and receive Him as your Lord and Savior. He is the One who sacrificed (John 3:16) His life for us all so that we would receive the FREE gift of salvation (Ephesians 2:8) and spend eternity basking in His Magnificence, His glory. 💕🌻
