“Lord, help my unbelief!”

“Lord, help my unbelief!” (9/26/22) // In Mark 9:24 AMP it reads … “Immediately the father of the boy cried out [with a desperate, piercing cry], saying, “I do believe; help [me overcome] my unbelief.””

Oftentimes, we’re worried about what other people will think if we shared these vulnerable moments with them because we feel they won’t understand or they’ll think we’re ‘bugging out’ but it’s imperative that I share my check-ins as the Holy Spirit leads to remind those who can resonate that they’re NOT bugging out & that they’re not alone. There’s nothing to be ashamed of when we know God to be who He is but we’re struggling with our faith & a flood of doubts or moments of uncertainty creeps in because many of us have been there. It’s a courageous thing to recognize that our faith is not perfect & when we ask Jesus for help to strengthen our belief. This was almost a year ago & although I’ve come a long way since then, I still have moments when I turn to Him to help me with my unbelief for He is the same yesterday, today & forever more. It demonstrates a humble & honest acknowledgment of our weakness as humans & the need of divine assistance.

May each of us be encouraged & be rooted in His Truth – ““For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us].” – Ephesians 2:10 AMP 🕊️
